Tusk Conservation Awards, 12 September 2013, Private Hospitality & Tickets

Overview
Tusk is delighted to announce that TRH The Duke of Cambridge, Royal Patron of Tusk, and The Duchess of Cambridge will attend the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards at The Royal Society, London on Thursday 12th September 2013. At the end of the awards ceremony The Duke of Cambridge will make a short speech.
The awards, developed in partnership with Investec Asset Management, aim to celebrate outstanding achievement in the field of African conservation. From practical field conservation to successful environmental education, the Tusk Conservation Awards recognise the achievements of individuals who are ensuring the future of Africa and bringing the challenges faced by the continent to a global audience.
The ceremony, hosted by broadcaster and journalist Kate Silverton, will be a celebration of Africa’s ‘unsung’ heroes of conservation. The nominees were shortlisted from fifty nominations by an expert panel of judges including Nigel Winser, Simon King OBE, Dr Karen Ross, Dr Rob Brett and Ali Kaka.
Two awards will be presented by The Duke of Cambridge on the night.
