Tiger’s Nest: The Luxurious Home in the Swiss Alps’ Central Valais
Tiger’s Nest is the luxurious home in the Swiss Alps. The lodge reflects their time spent in Asia, their love of architecture and design, and of Asian and European food and art. The lodge was born out of a desire to find somewhere to stay in the mountains as luxurious as the very best hotels in Asia, with the levels of service renowned in the Far East. Named after Bhutan’s iconic temple, Tiger’s Nest is a luxury contemporary alpine lodge situated in the east of Les 4 Vallées, Switzerland’s most extensive ski area.
Swiss Alps, Central Valais
Tiger’s Nest is situated at an altitude of 1550m in the Swiss Alps in central Valais, outside the small village of Les Masses and a short drive from the ski villages of Les Collons, Thyon and Veysonnaz. The lodge is a 20-minute drive from Sion, the capital of Valais. The lodge has six ski lifts within a 12-minute drive. Skiers can also access other parts of Les 4 Vallées – Nendaz, La Tzoumaz and Verbier. Further afield in the Valais region are nine resorts that reach over 3000m, including Arolla, Crans-Montana, Saas-Fee and Zermatt. All are within easy reach of Tiger’s Nest.
Four-storey Lodge
The four-storey lodge features five beautifully appointed double bedrooms designed in a contemporary style in collaboration with one of Scotland’s finest interior designers. All bedrooms have Bose iPod speakers, safes, robes and slippers, hairdryers and spa products. The master suite is located on the entire top floor of the lodge and has spectacular views of the Matterhorn range of mountains. The suite features a romantic free-standing bed and a spectacular bathtub for two, a walk-in-wardrobe and separate sitting and television area.
Fine In-house Dining of Swiss, International and Asian Cuisine
With a focus on local produce, the lodge’s in house chef serves Swiss, international and Asian cuisine and the dining experience can be as formal or relaxed as guests wish. Ingredients and menus can be agreed in advance and any special dietary requirements can be adhered to. The lodge’s wine list is sourced from both local vineyards, as well a selection on wines from France, Italy and the New World. A range of cigars that can be enjoyed around the fire-pit on the main terrace are also available.

This fully-staffed retreat offers access to some of Europe’s best skiing, as well as being an idyllic summer base for sightseeing, hiking, mountain biking, shopping, golf, tennis and other pursuits. Les 4 Vallées has more to offer the winter sports enthusiast than just downhill skiing and snowboarding. Guests may also care to experience snowshoe walking (raquette), ice-climbing, tobogganing or cross-country skiing, all of which can be arranged by the Tiger’s Nest team.

Facilities: a spa treatment room, a study with iMac computer, a host of indoor and outdoor games including tennis and badminton, basic fitness equipment, mountain bikes and a yoga deck during the summer season. Guests can also take advantage of the fully enabled Wi-Fi and double garage. A dedicated in-house team – including a host, chef and driver – will provide ever-present, yet unobtrusive service while anticipating guest needs and customising each guest’s stay according to their specific tastes and preferences.
