The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt – London 2012

Arguably one of the most exciting events to be taking place in London during the period of Lent, Fabergé is encouraging Londoners all over the city to find their inner child and take part in what the Guiness Book of World Records is hoping will be the largest egg hunt ever.

In conjunction with the charities Elephant Family and Action for Children, Fabergé, the Russian designer of luxury jewelled eggs, are hiding 200 eggs all over the city. However, these aren’t chocolate eggs but actually a selection of stunningly designed, unique eggs created by artists and fashion designers including Marc Quinn and Vivienne Westwood.

Anyone can join in the hunt, and you can visit the website to find maps of the different zones which include various famous spots in London such as Piccadilly and Carnaby Street, as well as clues that will lead you to the eggs.

Once an egg has been found, can text the keyword found with it to 80001 in order to be entered into a competition to win the special Diamond Jubilee egg worth £100,000. The website shows all the different egg designs, so keep your eyes peeled.

On March 20th, each egg will be auctioned off to the highest bidder with the money going to the charities. There is no limit to how many eggs you can find and how many times you can enter the competition, so get hunting!
