The Affordable Art Fair Returns to London this Autumn
Since it was launched in 1999, the Affordable Art Fair has welcomed over 1 million visitors worldwide and has seen £155m of art sold by exhibiting galleries. A global success story, 17 fairs are now held in 14 cities across 4 continents, with the latest, in Delhi, India, taking place for the first time in 2013.
Calling all art enthusiasts, photography fanatics and budding collectors; this Autumn, the Affordable Art Fair returns to London with two separate events showcasing contemporary collections from household names and emerging talent, all priced from £40 to £4,000, set in the scenic surroundings of Battersea Park and Hampstead Heath.

Defined by its informal and relaxed atmosphere, the Affordable Art Fair is the fun place for anyone interested, and looking to invest, in art. Within the £40 – £4,000 price range, 75% of exhibited art is priced under £3,000, with plenty available for under £1,000 too. With each piece ready to be wrapped up and taken away the same day, the fair has established itself as an inspiring destination for those looking for a special one-off purchase, and others who are developing a personal art collection.

For the second year running, art fans based both north and south of the river will have an Affordable Art Fair within easy reach; the newer Hampstead Heath fair follows hot on the heels of Battersea Park, the traditional home of the fair and the longest standing in its 14 year history. An extensive selection of high quality art will be on display at both London fairs, and investment opportunities abound for first time buyers and seasoned collectors alike. Over 100 handpicked galleries from across the UK will bring the very best of their collections to each location, spanning illustration to sculpture, painting, photography and editioned prints.

Families are welcome to join the fun at the fair, and the Affordable Art Fair runs a programme of free kids’ activities in the Education Space every day, so visitors may leave with more art than they bargained for, courtesy of their own mini-Monet.

The Affordable Art Fair, Battersea Park: 25-28 October 2012.
The Affordable Art Fair, Hampstead Heath: 1-4 November 2012.
