London’s Russian Ball, 2 November 2014

Overview
In the tradition of the the lavish balls of Tsarist Russia, London’s Russian Ball marks the ‘coming out’ of 60 young men and 60 young women into 21st century society.
This event combines European sophistication with Russian grandeur as the 60 couples of young debutants, chosen by the Ball Committee, take to the dance floor accompanied by exquisite, professional music by distinguished orchestras and ensembles. Last year, this included the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Evgenia Obraztsova, the Prima Ballerina of the Bolshoi Theatre, the celebrated tenor Dmitry Korczak, the musicians Igor Butman and Semen Milstein to mention a few.
Paying tribute to that great epoch, the Russian charitable ball in London is aimed at reviving the great traditions of Russian balls abroad, attracting attention to the rich history of Russian culture, and preserving cultural and ethical values for future generations.
Taking place in Old Billingsgate Hall, one of the oldest buildings in London, the Russian Ball exudes tradition, royalty and glittering brilliance. Furthermore, the addition of a sumptuous, finely-crafted gala dinner will make this one of the most memorable events on the social calendar.
