Overview
The Paris Motor Show (French: Mondial de l’Automobile) is a biennial auto show in Paris. Held around October, it is one of the most important auto shows, often with many new production automobile and concept car debuts.
The show presently takes place in Paris Expo at the Porte de Versailles. The Mondial is scheduled by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles, which considers it a major international auto show.
The Paris Motor Show continues to showcase and support the major developments of the automobile industry, particularly regarding safety, new forms of energy and the environment linked to new industrial and consumer behavior.
The 2012 Paris Motor Show boasted a 96 000m² exhibition area with more than 100 new international releases and 13 000 journalists from 103 countries. Visitors were also enticed to 11, 000 try-outs for electric vehicles.
