Mavrommatis blends authentic Mediterranean flavours with the technique and finesse of French cooking. This results in some sublime dishes and really puts Greek cuisine on the map. The menu reveals that tradition is still of the utmost importance with juicy langoustines in kataifi (crispy, string-like pastry, often served with baklava), locally sourced red mullet and for dessert, galaktoboureko (a semolina based custard in filo pastry. Generous portions are delicately plated to exhibit the intricacies of the creations.
