Magnificent Jewels Presentation, 6 Jun 2013

The event addresses the grandeur of emeralds, sapphires and diamonds. It embraces a rich heritage of top-end stones, such as supplied by the producers of world-renowned jewellery brands.

The event comprises a cocktail reception and dinner performance for 80 guests, presented by Veronica Marlene Paulus Königlich-Preussische Mécènat Supérieur des Beaux-Arts Ltd.

The event aims to implement in particular the Hellenistic royal ideology. Special participation includes: Court studies expert – Professor Anthony Spawforth, author of The Court and Court Society in Ancient Monarchies, stressing the importance of royal dress code and rituals, notably court culture, entertaining ceremonies, and jewels. Codes sociaux et culture de cour à la Renaissance encapsulate the honours of the court given to duchesses and majesties; European court traditions; nobility code and jewels; court culture, ceremony and ideology, with some elements of mythology.

Professor Richard Jenkyns will introduce the artist in the classical tradition. This will address the neo-Platonic identities, stressing in particular jewels and nobility social codes and culture de cour; England dress code; Queen Henrietta’s court circle; George I’s reign; Henry VIII; amongst other royalty.

Ballerinas’ dance of magic; models display jewels throughout the performance. Six ballerinas perform movements to the declamations of six actors. Up to six models will display the jewels.

The royal masque performance starts with a spoken and sung presentation or invocation or transfiguration by masquers-actors representing celestial beings, mythological persons or poetic fancy.
This will be followed by a speech to introduce a new tailor-made commission concept: the court etiquette regarding the nuances of aristocratic jewellery as a rigid dress code for nobles. This will encapsulate The Honours given to duchesses and majesties.

A world-renowned designer studio architect will speak on: “Floating Palaces, Yachts as Icons of Modern Splendour – The Art of High Jewellery & Jewel Garden Landscapes”. This will highlight such features as the commissioning of tailored intricate mounts amenity pieces; integrated artisan carved elements for yachts and private jets; precious stones ornamentation; components and settings creating bespoke, world-class interior decoration – state-of-the-art applications.
