Korčula – Follow the roots of Marco Polo

Korcula marks its place in history as the birthplace of Marco Polo, famous world-traveller and writer. In fact, Marco Polo stands as an icon for the fascinating cultural and historical monuments to be discovered in this popular yachting island, especially the unique Moreska Sword Dance. As a typical medieval walled Dalmation city, Korcula boasts breathtaking towers, red-roofed houses and museums.

The island is also one of the greenest islands in the Adriatic sea, and is bursting with awe-inspiring natural beauty, including beaches and bays. The Observer ranked Korcula as No. 11 in its list of ’20 Dream Holidays for the 21st Century’.
