Mahon, The Capitol of Minorca

Mahon has the second deepest natural harbour in the world! The water is deep but remains clear due to it being slightly enclosed. The port itself is relaxing by day and vibrant by night. Cocktail venues and dining places come alive along the portside, but it is also easy to spend hours watching the other yachts go by and admiring the beautiful view.

Mahon offers much history with its historical building being the Arch de San Roque and Church of Santa Maria. Some believe that the origin and name of ‘mayonnaise’ are found in this Minorcan city. It now serves as the seat of the Island Council of Minorca and has been recently renovated. This port offers beautiful views and crystal clear water for you to admire when traveling through the Balearic Islands.
