Cap de Formentor, The Northern Tip of Mallorca

This remote peninsula has breathtaking views, sandy beaches and the island’s original luxury hotel. 400 metre tall cliffs jut into the sea while pine trees grow out from between the rocks. The Majorcans call the cape the Meeting point of the winds.

This northernmost end of the Island was formed quite bizarrely by the wind and water. The steps, walls, paths and lighthouse on Cap de Formentor were built from the cliffs in 1892.

The headland has quite a few lookout points with spectacular views. The most well known is Mirador del Mal Pas, also called Mirador d’es Colomer. This Island is a must see with its prime location, remarkable 360 degree view and blue water all around.
