Overview
Il Ballo del Doge (The Doge’s Ball) is Italy’s most prestigious and elegant Venetian Carnival masquerade ball.
Originally held as part of the many events during the Carnival of Venice, this annual event has come to be regarded as a solitary happening for all those wishing to join in this magical celebration dedicated to the Art of the Dream. Every Il Ballo del Doge is different from the year before, as the event encompasses a different abstract and poetic theme.
Each year Il Ballo del Doge is attended by around four hundred guests, who arrive dressed in period costume and masked. Guests are welcomed into a a magical world of international dancers, singers, jesters, musicians, acrobats and fire-eaters. This incredible production is much more than a simple party and is real international happening, celebrated by VIP, celebrities and by all those hunting for dreams.
Held in the exquisite and historic 15th Century Venetian palace of Palazzo Pisani Moretta and situated on the Grand Canal in Venice, the picturesque surrounding gives the evening an undeniably magical ambiance.
