Francesco Vini, Florence
Established as a restaurant in 1977, FrancescoVini is located in one of the oldest buildings in Florence above the ruins of the roman amphitheater, making it both unique and picturesque. Fresh pasta, the best quality meats and delicious homemade dessert make up its well-established and respected menu.
FrancescoVini has been recognised with awards such as the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for 2011, for its delicious menu of Tuscan dishes refined by their talented chefs, as well as their extensive wine cellar of fine wines originating from the Tuscan region.
Classically Italian, FrancescoVini Restaurant is a very family-orientated establishment, capturing the culture and atmosphere of Florence. Founded by Francesco La Brusco, FrancescoVini was initially a local deli offering the best wines produced in the region of Tuscany and the most delicious homemade sandwiches. Thirty years later Francesco’s son Fabio renovated the restaurant, expanding it to over four times the size, and transforming it into one of the most beautiful restaurants in the historical city centre.
FrancescoVini’s passion for fine wine is easy to see from it’s extensive wine list, which includes Tuscan wines such as Chianti Classico, Nobile of Montepulciano, and Brunello of Montalcino. Uniquely, the wine cellar is located in the ruins of the Roman amphitheater beneath the restaurant, where connoisseurs or wine lovers can pick from more than one hundred labels. Elegance, tradition and quality remain the principle factors that have made FrancescoVini famous for over three decades.
